Hi, I’m Dr. Emma Hinkle!

I love deep conversations. My favorite thing in the world is sitting across from someone at a coffee shop or in my home with a cup of coffee or tea in hand connecting over knowledge, ideas, or thoughts. I write for a living, but not about the lofty ideas and thoughts that I muse upon and have missed having an outlet for pondering those ideas.

My hope is that this will be a space that others can enter into for cozy conversations as they pull up a chair in my brain. Writing is how I process the world and I’m excited to process it with you!

About Me

I have a knack for words and a love of science. I hold Bachelor’s degrees in both Genetics and English from North Carolina State University and a PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Currently, I work as a Senior Medical Writer communicating Neurology research to doctors and patients. In my spare time, I enjoy playing board games with my husband and church friends, reading voraciously, and picking heavy things up and putting them down again.
